Home Buying Guide: Introduction

Introduction

Buying and selling homes is not for armatures. We have MLS-Listings and then we have FSBO (for sale by owners). Home buyers can look at these on the internet or the resale homes in magazines and newspapers. It can give you what's available.

But the internet is NOT A REAL ESTATE AGENT and cannot give you advice, guide you or help you. Years & years of experience, knowledge and continuous study by a professional cannot be substituted by buyers reading a few books and seeing a dozen homes or so. Always use a professional Real Estate Agent if you want piece of mind.

Buying a house can be an exciting experience -- and one of the largest financial investments you'll make in your lifetime. By educating yourself on the home buying process and seeking out the sound advice of a Realtor, you'll save time, energy and money.

Realtors are licensed real estate professionals who are also members of a local real estate board. A Realtor acts as an agent for the buyer or the seller -- or, in less frequent situations, for both. But no matter whom they represent, Realtors are legally obligated to protect and promote the interests of their clients. All Realtors must adhere to a strict Code of Ethics and a high standard of business practices.

So let's look at the Real Estate and see what it's doing & what's involved -- that's what counts.  I learned very early in life, the difference between knowing the name of something and knowing something."     Quote: Hannif Highclass
